Please join us in celebrating the second annual Nicole's Army fundraiser. This fundraiser is a celebration of Nicole outliving her 18-month prognosis after being diagnosed with glioblastoma in October of 2020. Our motto has now shifted from "Defy The Stats" to "Defying The Stats". We understand that not everyone is as lucky, so we are fundraising again this year to support Brain Cancer Canada in raising money to fund promising life-saving brain cancer research and neurosurgical technology for one of the most underfunded cancers in Canada. Last year, with your support, Brain Cancer Canada was able to make major strides in providing essential funding for promising brain cancer research in Canada . We hope that we can have your support once again by donating and spreading the word. The community believes in Nicole, and you should too! HISTORY OF NICOLE'S ARMY FUNDRAISER:
Nicole, 45 years of age, was diagnosed with Glioblastoma in October of 2020. In 2021, Chloe Asselstine, her daughter, set a goal to raise $40,000 for Brain Cancer Canada. Chloe designed totes to help raise awareness about this forgotten cancer and inspire people affected by this disease to "Defy The Stats". After only three short months, the goal was met. A strong "army" of believers came together to show that they believe brain cancer patients are more than a statistic and that there is always hope. This year, the "army" is determined to continue making a difference for those affected by this cancer to provide more treatment options and improve prognosis over time.
